Issue: Global Warming, is a worldwide issue to do with the world’s increase in temperature.
Significances:
1) The whole world is or will eventually be affected by Global Warming. Since there is a rise in temperature, an increase of carbon dioxide in the air, the melting of the ice caps, as well as the increase of the greenhouse gases.
2) If sea levels start to rise, there will be more deserts, extreme weather conditions will start happening, more animals will become extinct and strange agricultural problems will occur.
Analysis:
1) We can go through how human activity affects the world, for example- too many factories, too many vehicles, etc make the increase of carbon dioxide.
2) It may be biased, it might be just a worldwide change, but it seems reliable because of clues and proven facts about human activity so the article seems useful.
Quote: “Without the greenhouse effect, the planet would never have warmed enough to allow life to form. But as ever larger amounts of carbon dioxide have been released along with the development of industrial economies, the atmosphere has grown warmer at an accelerating rate: Since 1970, temperatures have gone up at nearly three times the average for the 20th century.”
