Issue: This issue, of child labour is situated in Bangladesh. It is a ‘’documentary’’ on an 11 year old girl, and how much she gets as a salary, how she is treated by the owners of her manufacturing job, and how she feels about herself.
Significances:
1) All over the world we see child labour, hundreds of thousands of people are affected by child labour as well as cheap labour. This economically ‘tries’ to raise money in the country but is a devastating result to the people and their lives. Many countries phase child labour all over Asia, Africa, South America, even Europe.
2) Something should be done to make lives of these people happier and better. Starting from 4-5 years old, children do not get an education because they are mistreated and put to work.
Analysis:
1) We can analyze what the little girl says. We can’t say that it’s 100% reliable because it is being answered by an 11 year old. She could’ve easily lied about anything. And it is cheaply interviewed you can see it lacks quality. But on the other hand we can discuss the amount of money she gets payed weekly which is most probably true because child labour all over the world is like that!
2) This article is one of many that give a similar justification to child labour. We can discuss how children like this feel, to be beaten just because they do something wrong, how their limitations to life are and how they survive.
